The Mission

All Veterans. All Veteran Comedians.

With our motto, “No laugh left behind,” The Veterans of Comedy exists to bring laughter to the men and women in uniform—past and present. Since launching in 2014, nearly 30 veteran comedians have joined the team, representing all six branches of the U.S. military.

Our mission is simple: help bridge the gap between service and civilian life, using laughter as the foundation. The Veterans of Comedy has performed around the world and in every U.S. state, connecting communities through humor, storytelling, and real-life experience.

Founded in 2014 by veterans Will C. and Erik Knowles, the group was built to do more than entertain—we aim to show up for veterans and their communities and raise awareness for those who need support.

In 2016, The Veterans of Comedy partnered with the Veteran Community Project of Kansas City, helping raise money and awareness to support their tiny home community. In December 2025, to give back on a bigger scale, Will C. transitioned the organization into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation.
